IS THERE RIGHTEOUSNESS WITHOUT TRUTH?
Absolutely not!! No one can live right without
knowing God’s will. The only way to know God’s will is through His Holy Word
given to us by the Holy Ghost of God, the Spirit of Truth. Knowing the Truth
shall make us free! “Then said Jesus to those Jews
which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my
disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you
free.” (John 8:31-32 AV) It is clearly
evident here that the Lord requires continuing in the Word of God for one to
receive the Truth and be made free. This means continuing in the performance of
His Word, not just reading it.
FREEDOM
FROM DESTRUCTION
What is this freedom Jesus is speaking
of here? I believe it is freedom from condemnation and the wrath of God and
freedom from the power of Satan. There is also freedom from the deceit of those
religionists who have decimated the Churches of our Lord through program and entertainment
they have used to attract people into their numbers. People have come gladly
and brought the world with them. It is not that these folk are immoral; they
are very moral, but in their own personal morality, not the holiness that God
demands, for “without holiness no man shall see God” Hebrews 12:14
DISOBEDIENT
MINISTERS
The truth is that the believers are to
go into the world and preach the Gospel. Instead they have invited the world to
come to them. This is not right; the Word of God says so, and so then says the
Truth. They are practicing unrighteousness because they are not continuing in
the Word of God so that the Truth could guide them.
FATE OF THE
UNRIGHTEOUS
Those who will not study the Word of
God will suffer as did all but Noah and his family when God destroyed all the
unrighteous along with every creeping thing on the dry land, except it will be
by fire this final time. Many will say that they have attended church regularly
and listened to the preaching at each meeting and also attended Sunday School
and even taught there. But God will tell them that He never knew them. Why?
Because the Truth is not in them nor are they righteous. “And as it was in
the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did
eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day
that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they
bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went
out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.” (Luke
17:26-30 AV)
FEW SAVED?
One might ask if again only a few will
be saved. A fair question which has an answer in God’s Word; “Enter ye in at
the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to
destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth
unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come
to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men
gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree
bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree
cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good
fruit. Every tree that bringeth not
forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their
fruits ye shall know them.” (Matthew 7:13-20 AV)
FALSE PROPHETS
Satan has filled the world with
“Ministers of Righteousness” as the Word tells us; “For such are false
apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of
Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the
ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. (2
Corinthians 11:13-15 AV)
OUR HOPE
Our willingness to believe the truth
and act upon it will be the source of our freedom and salvation. We need to
study the Bible with a sincere desire to do God’s will in our lives. WE should
ask God to open your eyes so we can serve Him. If we practice these things we
will find the Truth and be made free. We can ask Jesus into our heart all day
long, but if we do not long to serve Him our words are hollow. A person that
asks Jesus to save him or her and has no interest in God’s Word is fooling
themselves if they think they are saved. No born again person can endure for a
day let alone a week without God’s Bible to feed upon where they will find the
Truth that makes them free and joyful. If a person truly wants to be saved, it
will not be to escape Hell and get to Heaven, but to become a part of God’s
family and serve Him joyfully by taking His Word into the world that others may
also be saved.
BE PERSUADED
Dear reader, I know by experience and
His Word that If you have not gotten serious about God and His Word be sure
that judgment is at the door; it’s only a few heartbeats away. Please get
serious and seek after the Truth of God. First tell Him that you want a new
life, that the life you have been living is full of sinful ways and that you
desire to live His way, the high, holy way, and mean it. Jesus died so that we
may live; He shed His blood so that we may be cleansed in spirit and soul.
Accept this work of the Lord with thanksgiving and ask Him to take charge of
your life that you now give to Him for His purposes and ask Him to fill you
with His Truth, the Holy Ghost of God for your freedom and power over the lies
of Satan; be aware of your enemy. Then begin immediately by faith doing what
God shows you to do for Him. Study the HOLY Bible (King James Version) for
your daily spiritual food and continue in praise and prayer to Him with
thanksgiving for your salvation, and go with charity into the world with His Gospel
to share with the lost. And know that the Truth has blessed you with His
righteousness.
