HOW TO JOIN AN ARMY AND WIN A WAR

 

Now, if one is about to be in a war, it is wise to study the difference between the successful and unsuccessful wars.   Successful war can’t be stopped, however unsuccessful wars all end up in failure.  A good warrior must master the difference between a successful and unsuccessful war.   Unsuccessful armies will be called losers, while successful armies will be called victors and winners.  The victors end up in a place called Heaven and are also called “Saints”.  Saints will fight wars for the benefit of others however, losers start wars for evil and selfish reasons.  All losers end up eternally and forever in torment of indescribable pain and suffering in a lake of fire that will never go out.

 

First let’s go to the army manual to learn more about successful warriors and their armies.  This very old manual, The Holy Bible, never changes.   The Bible can be found in most languages and in the English language there are numerous versions, but only one TRUTH.  In the book of Acts, we find a very well educated and religious man, named Saul.   Saul’s army was called “The Pharisees”.  Saul and his army, “The Pharisees”, had been causing some really big problems for an opposing group “the disciples of the Lord”, who had been scattered to Damascus, Syria.  One day, Saul and some of his fellow army members went to their chief gang leader, “the high priest”, desiring to tie up their opponents and bring them back to army headquarters in Jerusalem, Israel.  Here’s what the King James Holy  Bible says.

“And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.” (Acts 9:1-2)

Now Saul thought he was on the winning side, but his army, “The Pharisees”, was missing the really powerful weapon called Truth.   “Truth” eventually destroys all soldiers that lack it and all armies that do not have the power of “Truth” will in time fail.  Ok, so lets get back to Saul’s journey to Damascus.

“And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?   And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.   And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do   And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.  And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.  And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.”   (Acts 9:3-9)

What we have here is like a gang confrontation.   Saul was in the losing gang and his eyes was blinded.  In fact, every person that has been born is already a member of that same gang of losers called “The Adam Gang”.  Listen to what the greatest chief of all, “God” says about all of those born into the losing, “Adam Gang” and are still in that gang.

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:  There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.  They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”  (Romans 3:10-12)

Ok, so none of us are born perfect, but for now lets get back to Saul, who by association with the wrong gang, has lost his eyesight.  He left the old loser gang and has found acceptance by the most powerful Son of God, the Lord Jesus.

 

“And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.  And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.  And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.  And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.”  (Acts 9:17-20)

Saul changed gangs and was later named Paul.  With the power of God, you can change too!   The “Adam Gang” of which we are all born is the losing player, but there is one way to escape this losing gang.  There is another player bound and determined that you do not leave the “Adam Gang”.   He is a liar and the father of the lie.  He is taking steps right now to persuade you from reading and believing these words.  He very strongly desires your company in the sinful everlasting burning of  “The Hell-Bound Gang”.

 

The words of the Bible have actually started many riots, but it’s most important truth is that you can join the winning gang.  Jesus, God’s perfect Son,  is the TRUTH, however this other master deceiver player in the Bible, “the devil” hates the truth and he hates you.   He does not want you reading the TRUTH.   Listen to what the chief gang leader Jesus said about “The Pharisee Gang” and their chief leader, “the devil”.

    

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”    (John 8:44)

 

If you will admit that you are a sinner and a loser, and wish to leave the evil “Adam Gang”, there is hope   You need to be truly sorry for your sin.   You must be willing with God’s help to turn away from sin, otherwise you’re still in the “Adam Gang”, destined for destruction.   Jesus will free you if you will accept Him in prayer as your savior who has paid for your sin with His life in this war.

 

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;.... For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”   (Romans 3:23, 6:23)

 

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”   (Romans 10:9-13)

We must surrender to Jesus and ask His forgiveness.    Jesus, being God’s son is alive and He is perfect, having never sinned.   That’s how Jesus can get you out of the “Adam Gang”.   His blood sacrificed on the cross was sinless and your blood was poisoned with the sin of Adam and Eve a long time ago.  His perfect blood washes and cleanses us.

 

A successful riot must be of the TRUTH and “The Spirit”, that is the Holy Spirit of God, acquired only by prayer.   The Spirit gives wisdom, guidance and  LOVE.  The Truth, the Spirit and Love are important ingredients for successful riots.   Listen to some of these serious problems for the sinful and worldly “Adam Gang”.

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”    Revelation 20:7-8  “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?  Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.  And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”   (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

 

The true follower of Jesus rebels against the ways of the world, but embraces the things of God.   Jesus, tells us to reject and repent from the worldly ways and lovingly accept the mercies of God.

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”   (Romans 12:1-2)  Jesus is called “King of Kings and Lord of Lords”.   He loves you and shed His blood on a cross to pay for your sins.   He is ultimately Holy and very jealous and as a result will not have any lukewarm gang members who are not completely SOLD-OUT or who are IN-TUNE with ways of the world.  Listen  to his words.

“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”   (Revelation 3:15-16)

 

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”  (Luke 13:3)

“And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end .”   (Luke 1:33)
