What Should I Listen To, Read Or Watch?

Are you familiar with the expression, “Different strokes for different folks”? Each of us have opinions concerning our choices. Some of us say, “I don’t want to be bored”, some say, “I want to be informed” while even a smaller number may say, “that’s not good for me” or “that’s not what my Lord would approve”. Where do you fit in this picture? Are you sincerely seeking the Lord’s will, your own will and pleasure or some mixture of these? Are you being conformed by the sounds and pictures of the world or are you transformed by the mind of Christ. Is the whole bag of candy acceptable even if there are some worldly rocks mixed in? Are you compromising your faith and is this causing you to be less fruitful than you should be. Do others have to accept some of your worldliness in order to be a “Christian” like you?

We should not judge one another however we should allow Christ to search our own hearts.

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:1 – All verses KJV)

“Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.” (Romans 6:11-13)

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)
